When choosing a croaking pet choose a breeder carefully and visit several farms.
Frogs may have four types of pupils: round, vertical (cat’s eye), horizontal (most common) and heart-shaped. Vertical pupils permit frogs to respond quickly to changes in light; exotic heart-shaped pupils are intrinsic to Oriental fire-bellied Toads. Frogs share round pupils with Salamanders and Newts, and horizontal pupils are good for day vision.
