Frogs reproduce by amplexus, i.e. males fertilize eggs laid by females. It takes about 10-20 days for a fertilized egg to hatch, and far not all eggs survive the adverse outer environment. Larvae are herbivorous, and by age of 4 weeks they start developing gills. Tadpole's breeders can show you such babies.
