Xenopus laevis is the scientific name of this medium-sized animal. It is about 5 inches long, and spends its entire life under water. They make good pets and can be kept in tanks in groups or singly, or with fish of similar size. The african frog can be obtained from any farm, but don't be infatuated with a picture.
